Pastor Paul will reach out to you soon.
Our schedule is: Sunday School 10am | Sunday Worship 11am | Sunday Evening 6pm. We are located at 1270 Red River Rd Winchester, KY.
We adhere to traditional Baptist beliefs, including the authority of the Bible, salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, believer's baptism by immersion, and the priesthood of all believers.
When you walk into our front door, you will be met by some members to familiarize you with the church. They will direct you to a comfortable worship center, classrooms in the basement area and a newly remodeled nursery near the lobby for mothers who may need to care for children. Our traditional worship service is typically dismissed by 12:15, but most folks tend to stay and talk a while.
We welcome any interest in becoming a member of our church family. Please reach out to our pastor for further conversations about what it means to become a member at Allansville!
We exist to worship God, disciple one another, and proclaim the gospel.
After 25 years of ministry, Amy and I joined Allansville Baptist Church in July of 2023. I believe that all people are called to glorify God, serve others and make His name known. I do this in my life through a personal relationship with God, a deep love and service to my family first and then to the people of our church, and by seeking to point people in all stages of life to Christ as their hope for help and eternity. I love the Winchester community and desire to guide and support those in need. I am honored and grateful to serve as a pastor to the people of Winchester. Let's get together over lunch, phone call or cup of coffee and get to know each other!
Sin is anything we do wrong, disobeying God in any area or any violation of God's holiness. Everyone has done something wrong. We simply must agree that we have sinned.
Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." The reason we come short of God's glory (God's righteousness or perfect nature) is because "all have sinned." Sin is simply disobeying God in any area. We must agree with God that we have sinned.
Romans 6:23 tells us that the result of sin is death. There is a penalty or consequence for our sin. This penalty is death. According to James 1:14-15, sin will work in us like a horrible disease that can only end in death. The death that is a deserved punishment of sin is not just physical, but an eternal death which is also called the Second Death in Revelation 20:14-15.
We must realize that if we die in our sins, we must pay the penalty for our sin by dying in hell - forever.
Sin must be punished. Sin must die. Jesus became our sin for us so that sin might be punished and die (2 Corinthians 5:21). This is the miracle of the cross.
God loves us. He wants to give us eternal life. John 3:16 tells us that God loves us so much that He gave His Son, Jesus, to become sin for us so that our sin would receive its punishment, death.
Now, Jesus offers us a free gift of forgiveness and eternal life in heaven (Romans 6:23). There is nothing we can do to earn this on our own or to deserve this gift of eternal life. Eternal life is obtained through Jesus Christ alone (John 14:6).
Romans 5:8 helps us understand that even though we do not deserve heaven, Jesus died in our place. We must believe that Jesus has paid our sin debt by dying for us, and eternal life is only gained through Him.
Although Jesus died to pay everyone's sin debt, not everyone is on their way to heaven. You must personally receive God's gift of eternal life. You must believe what Jesus has done of you, choose to no longer trust in self or other things and ask Him to save you, placing your faith in Him. Acts 2:38 - "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that you sins may be blotted out..." Romans 10:9 - "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus Christ, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." Romans 10:13 - "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." If you would like to accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, simply and humbly: 1. Admit to God that you are a sinner. 2. Tell Him you believe Jesus took your punishment by dying on the cross. 3. Ask God to forgive you of your sins. 4. Tell God you are turning form self to trust Him alone for heaven.
1 John 5:13 - "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of he Son of God."
Age appropriate classes for all people. These small groups work through study books together in conversational classes every Sunday morning.
We are a traditional worship fellowship. Through the singing of hymns, reading of Scripture and Bible study, we join together to worship God and grow as individuals.
Sunday nights we do a topical study from the Bible. We answer difficult questions and learn how to grow in our relationship with God. Join us for these unique conversational studies.
All members are welcome to join us at 5:30pm each Sunday night to rehearse good music to sing as a choir for our worship service.
All children and teens are welcome to join us at 7:00pm each Wednesday for youth choir followed by stories and cultural learning from missionaries. The evening concludes with craft or game time and recreation.
Every Wednesday at 7:00pm our adults gather to pray and study the Bible. After 30 minutes of dedicated prayer for each other and our community, we study books of the Bible, one section at a time.
Our children and teen ministry compete in a Bible Jeopardy tournament each spring and summer. Competitors receive prizes and help to build OCC shoeboxes. Ask for more information!
The women's ministry meets each month for social gathering, Bible study and prayer, opportunity to share, learn of missions needs and participate in ministering to our local community.
Every member at Allansville is introduced to a deacon who serves the members by offering prayer, friendship and accountability. Our deacons love, serve and pray for our members.
A new season for Bible Jeopardy starts on April 27. Ask in Sunday School for sections to study!
