Why We Worship Through Giving

At Allansville Baptist Church, Winchester, KY, we believe that worship is more than just singing songs—it’s a lifestyle of surrender, trust, and generosity. One way we actively worship is through giving.

Biblical Foundations for Giving

God calls us to give sacrificially, generously, and joyfully, recognizing that all we have comes from Him (James 1:17). When we give, we participate in His mission, stewarding His resources for His glory.

We Give Sacrificially – Giving is an act of faith, prioritizing God’s kingdom over our personal comfort
(2 Samuel 24:24)
We Give Generously – We are not called to store up treasures for ourselves but to invest in eternity
(2 Corinthians 9:6).
We Give Joyfully – Giving is not a burden; it’s a privilege to support the work of the gospel
(2 Corinthians 9:7).

A Conduit, Not a Storehouse

Jesus teaches that we are stewards, not owners. Allansville Baptist Church, Winchester, KY does not seek to accumulate wealth but to use resources for the spread of the gospel. As Paul reminds us, “I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive..” (Acts 20:35)
